Stop ignoring a user you previously blocked with /ignore, making their messages visible to you again.
When to Use It
Use it when you want to hear from someone again, for example after an argument is over or when you ignored the wrong person.
Syntax
/unignore <nickname>
Parameters
nickname — The user to stop ignoring.
How It Works
Removes the user from your ignore list. Their messages, PMs, actions, and invites (whichever were being blocked) will be visible again immediately. To see who you're currently ignoring, run
/ignore
with no arguments first.
The nickname is matched without regard to upper or lower case. Every ignore entry for that nickname is removed, and a timed ignore stops its countdown. You see a confirmation line.
If you are identified with NickServ, your ignore list is saved with your account, so the change lasts into your next session. If the user was ignored automatically for flooding, they are not ignored automatically again for one minute.
Rules & Limits
- Anyone can use it. No channel or server status is needed.
- If the nickname is not on your ignore list, you get an error that says so
- Without a nickname, you see the usage line
- Only the first nickname is used. Extra words are ignored.
Examples
/unignore SpamBot /unignore Alice
