A brief toast notification confirms that the chat copied something to your clipboard.
Copy Confirmation
When you copy something with a Copy item in a chat context menu, a short Copied! message appears and then closes by itself.
When It Helps
Copying to the clipboard happens out of sight. The toast tells you that the text is ready to paste, so you do not need to test it first.
Which Actions Show It
The toast appears after these items in the chat context menu:
- Copy Message, on a message
- Copy Source, on a message that has formatting
- Copy Nick, on a nickname
- Copy URL, on a link
- Copy Channel Name, on a channel name
Copy actions in the conversations list show the same toast. Share windows that offer a copy button show it as well.
How It Works
- The toast is a small window titled Info with an OK button. Click OK to close it at once.
- If you do nothing, it closes by itself after about two seconds.
- It appears only after the copy succeeds. If the browser blocks clipboard access, no toast appears.
Notes
A copy made with the browser's own keyboard shortcut, or with Copy in the Edit menu, does not show this toast. The text is still copied.
