When you are kicked from a channel, a dialog appears with the details.
Dialog Contents
The dialog shows the channel name, who kicked you, and the reason if one was given.
Multiple Kicks
If you are kicked from multiple channels simultaneously, the dialogs queue and display one at a time. Click OK to dismiss each dialog.
What the Dialog Looks Like
The window is titled Kicked from Channel. It names the channel, then lists By, with the operator's nickname, and Reason, when one was given. A note at the bottom says that the channel tab was closed.
What Else Happens
- The channel tab closes, and you stop receiving its messages.
- Everyone in the channel sees a line saying who kicked you, with the reason if one was given.
- The kick sound plays, unless you have muted sounds. You can pick a different sound for kicks in the Sounds window.
- If you are identified and the channel is in your auto-join list, it is removed from that list.
Going Back
A kick is not a ban. You can usually join again right away with the command below. If an operator also banned you, the join is refused.
