A channel can carry a small coloured plaque beside its name that says what it is about — news, games, sport — so a list of rooms can be read at a glance. It sits ahead of the channel's language flag in its tab, the conversations list, the channel list and above the conversation.
Setting It
The founder of a registered channel chooses it with /cs category followed by one of the names below, or under Channel Central ▸ Registration ▸ Category. /cs category none takes it away, and /cs category alone shows the current one.

- Only the founder can set it, and only on a registered channel. Dropping the registration takes it away.
