Transfer channel ownership to another user. The current owner is demoted to operator and the target becomes the new owner.
Syntax
/transfer <nickname>
Parameters
nickname — The user to transfer ownership to. Must be in the channel.
How It Works
The current channel owner gives up ownership to the specified user. The previous owner is automatically set as an operator. If the channel is registered, the ChanServ access list is updated accordingly.
Rules & Limits
- Only the channel owner (~) can transfer ownership
- The target must be in the channel
- This action cannot be undone without the new owner's cooperation
