Empty States

Helpful placeholders shown when lists are empty, guiding you on what to do next.

When a UI container has no content, a friendly placeholder message appears with guidance:

Nicklist

The nicklist groups people by role. A group with nobody in it is hidden until someone joins it.

Conversations

When no channels are joined, shows a hint to use /join and an "Browse channels" button.

URL Catcher

Until someone posts a link, the URL Catcher shows No URLs captured yet.

Click Browse channels to open the Channel List, where you can pick a room to join.

It also explains that shared links will appear there. It collects the links people post while you are connected.

Pinned

The Pinned window explains that the channel is not keeping anything yet. Only an operator can pin a message. Right-click the message and choose Pin.

Saved Messages

Saved Messages says you have not kept anything yet. Right-click any message and choose Save for Later to add it. Only you can see your saved messages.

Mentions

Mentions stays empty until someone writes your nickname in a channel you were in.

Events

Events says nothing is planned yet. If you may schedule events, it shows how to add one: /event. Otherwise it says that events from operators will show up there.

Threads

The thread window says nobody has answered yet when a message has no replies. Your reply starts the thread and also stays in the room.

Notes

Empty state messages disappear automatically when content arrives. The text is not selectable.
