The Conversations sidebar is the left navigation pane showing your channels, inline user list, PMs, and popular channels in three collapsible sections.
Header
The header shows the title "Conversations" and a close button to hide the panel. You can also toggle it via the toolbar.
Sections
Three collapsible sections with clickable headers (▾/▸ arrows):
- MY CHANNELS — Your joined channels with user counts and unread badges
- PRIVATE MESSAGES — Your active PM conversations
- POPULAR CHANNELS — Top 10 most active channels you haven't joined (collapsed by default, lazy-loaded on first expand)
Features
Click a channel or PM to switch to it. Channels with unread messages appear bold. Channels with highlights flash. User counts appear next to all channels.
Active Channel
The active channel is pinned to the top of the My Channels section. Below it, the user list shows all users sorted by role (owner, operator, half-op, voiced, regular), with role icons and colors.
Popular Channels
Shows the top 10 channels by user count that you haven't joined yet. Click [+] to join a channel, or click "Browse All Channels..." to open the full channel list dialog.
User Interactions
Click a username to open the context menu. Double-click to open a private message. Right-click a channel for options (Mark as Read, Mute, Copy Name, Leave, Settings).
