Playing a Game with Somebody

Open a game from Retro Games and press Play with someone. That creates a match room and drops you into it as its host, with one empty seat opposite you. Nothing has been sent anywhere yet.

The link comes from Share

Inside the room, Share mints the address and opens a small window holding it, with Copy and Revoke. Paste it into a channel or a private message and it draws a card with the game on it and the number of seats left. Opening the game does not create an address — pressing Share does, so you never leave links behind for rooms nobody used.

Ready, then Start

Whoever follows the link takes the seat and lands in the same room. Both of you press Ready, and then the host's Start begins the match. There is no accept step for the game itself: the link named it, and following the link was the agreement.

Who can play

Creating a match link needs a registered nickname you have identified with NickServ, and so does taking the seat. Somebody either of you has blocked cannot join, and neither can you join your own match from a second window.
