Channel ownership can be transferred to another member. The current owner becomes an operator and the target receives owner status.
Channel Central
Owners can open Channel Central's General tab, choose Transfer Ownership, enter the target nickname, and confirm the transfer.

/transfer <nickname>
Rules
- Only the current channel owner (~) can transfer ownership
- The target nickname must be present in the channel
- This cannot be undone without the new owner's cooperation
